Making hay while the sun shines
In some primary schools in Malawi, desks are a ‘luxury’ that cannot be ‘wasted’ on pupils in the junior classes. This is so because the schools do not have have enough desks to carter for every pupil. No wonder, these pupils belonging to the junior classes derived a lot of fun by sitting and cheering while seated on a desk that left outside a classroom at Chitipi Local Education Authority (LEA) School in Lilongwe.
